Location

Secluded without being isolated, The Old Vicarage enjoys an elevated position in the legendarry village of Lee on the north Devon Coast; the beautiful surfing beach of Woolacombe is only 2.5 miles away.

The house is ideally placed to enable easy exploration of the whole of Devon. The famous villages of Covelly, Lynton & Croyde are just a stone's throw away along the coast.

Lundy Island, which lies 12 miles off the coast, was named as Britain's 10th natural wonder and has been designated as a site of special scientific interest. It can be explored by catching a ferry from Ilfracombe which is 3 miles away.


Lee itself is a very quiet village and hosts only a pub, The Grampus Inn and small general store. The Grampus does great food and ideal place to end a walk or a day at the beach. The house is ideally located to take advantage of the beach, which is a short stroll even with youngsters, and hosts a wealth of rock pools to explore. At low/mid tide it is possible to access sandy Bay which is great beach to explore with it's caves and large rock formations. There is no chance of getting stranded as steep steps take you up over the headland back to Lee. You can also access the beautiful walk along the footpath towards Bulls Head, Mortehoe and Woolacombe beyond, which is a must.


There are a wealth of activities nearby to keep the energetic and adventurous entertained from horse riding, quad biking, cycle paths, surfing & kite flying.

For grocery shopping, there is Tesco's Supermarket at Ilfracombe (3.6 miles away) or Braunton (9 Miles away). Tesco & Majestic Wine in Barnstable also offer a delivery service. There are plenty of shops offering fresh locally farmed meat, fruit & vegetables.
